Welcome to Dove Theology
Dove Theology was set up primarily as an apologetics website, that is, to defend Christianity’s intellectual basis. It has four principal aims:
- To make a case for (and defend) the truth and coherence of theism, in particular Christianity.
- To assess the relationship between science and religion, and suggest how they might be integrated with allowance for future developments.
- To consider the basis and flexibility of Christianity, especially in light of scientific and historical development.
- To discuss and respond to contemporary issues and criticisms relating to religion.
Some of the articles on the website are underdeveloped and may well simply be taken directly from conversations. Where this is the case, the reader will be notified so as not to expect a fully exhaustive treatment of the subject. I also now have a blog page which will give more regular, informal thoughts, as well as giving updates regarding new full articles on the site. You can subscribe to this using the button on the right.
Contact
I am free to run or take part in any debates, Q & A sessions or other apologetical events at churches, Christian Unions, or with other organisations with whom my work coincides.
I am perfectly happy to answer any objections you want to raise yourselves, or perhaps any issues you may be struggling with inside the Christian faith. If you want my perspectives on a matter, please do feel free to contact me. Alternatively, if you want clarification on an article or it doesn’t make sense to you, I’m happy to discuss it. You can contact me in one of several ways:
